probuild+ acknowledges and respects the privacy of individuals. This policy explains how we deal with your personal information as you interact with us.

This Privacy Policy applies to probuild+ and its related entities (probuild+, 'we', 'our' or 'us') and the personal data that we collect online through your use of our website, including any other websites operated by probuild+ ("website"), email or offline through your interactions with us, including completion of forms and project consultations.

As a specialized cladding remediation contractor, probuild+ regularly handles and transfers "personal data" (being information which is capable of identifying an individual) in connection with building compliance projects, property assessments, and remediation services across Victoria.

From time to time, we may change our policy on how we deal with personal data or the types of personal data which we hold.

In all cases, we will collect personal data about an individual that is relevant to our business relationship with them. However, we may also collect personal data from third parties with whom we do business, including property managers, strata committees, consulting engineers, and building surveyors.

Our IT systems provide and store a variety of information, such as information that can identify an individual and which contains related project and property details.

This includes information gathered through business-related devices and software, website data including cookies, browsing history, and project inquiry details.

What is our purpose for handing personal data?

We use personal data to enable us to provide and improve our cladding remediation services, compliance assessments, project management, and methods of communication, to undertake building assessments and analysis, and for administrative, business-related and marketing purposes (including marketing by electronic means). Where you receive electronic marketing communications from us, you may opt out of receiving further marketing communications by following the opt out instructions provided in the communication.

We also use personal data to protect our rights and interests, the rights and interests of other website users and any other person, and as necessary to enforce this Privacy Policy. In addition, we use personal data to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations, including building compliance requirements and in connection with requests from law enforcement, building authorities, or other governmental agencies.

  • Related entities within the probuild+ group and their employees;

  • External service providers, such as contractors, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors who assist us in providing our cladding remediation services (e.g., specialised removal contractors, facade installers, building certifiers, engineering consultants, technology service providers) and those that act as data processors, auditors, taxation and legal advisors;

  • Building authorities, regulatory bodies, government agencies and law enforcement bodies;

  • Property managers, strata committees, building owners, and consulting professionals involved in compliance projects; and

  • Other parties as permitted by law.

We may disclose, use, aggregate, anonymous, pseudonymised or de-identified information about users for marketing, advertising, research, compliance, or other purposes.

What do we do to help protect personal data?

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from misuse, interference or loss and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure with appropriate safeguards and security measures and restrict access to those who have a legitimate business purpose and reason for accessing it. We store most data about you in computer systems and databases operated by either us or our external service providers.

However, safeguards and security measures apply to personal data in both electronic and hard copy form, and we also ensure information is secured with limited access.

There is no fee for requesting that your personal data be corrected or for us to make corrections. We reserve the right to charge a fee (where permissible) to cover the reasonable costs incurred by us in processing your request to access your personal data, such as photocopying, administration and postage costs.
